Fabulous food and lovely hosts.

Not what I was expecting at all. Food was extremely simple and definitely not middle eastern. Middle Eastern cuisine is suppose to be flavorful. Having been to Turkey and Jordan and have eaten in many middle eastern restaurants in Canada this place was a real disappointment.

This is not an actual review. It is merely a heads-up to the next potential halal food seeking patron. This restaurant is not halal. This has been confirmed by the owner. Strangely, when halal food is typed up, this restaurant will pop up in the search.

Always yummy food. Have not been here in years and I am shamed for saying so. This is great place to enjoy fine food.

OMG! The food here is so delicious! The falafels were amazing! Fresh and delicious! My boyfriend and I had an awesome experience and we will most definitely be back!

A friend recommended this place and I am so pleased she did. It is an unassuming restaurant, easily overlooked and yet is one of Barrie’s best kept secrets. We have been twice and both times it was completely empty, not something I warm to when looking for food but both times we were rewarded for giving this lovely mother and daughter team a try. We had the lentil soup, nourishing, full of goodness. We then had the vegetable plate, hummus, tahneeh, salad and then best falafels ever. You won’t be sorry, give it a try.

This restaurant was horrible, the cashier was very rude and worst of all I got food poisoning for the restaurant! You REALLY DO NOT want to go there!

Best traditional mediteranean cuisine.

Delicious and authentic food. Lovely quiet setting and friendly, kind service. Very high quality flavour. Enjoyed delicious lamb skewers with a pickle plate. The menu is very reasonably priced.I'll be back again when visiting Barrie.

i would have to say best food in town. Ma does all the prep and cooking herself. have visited to say hi and had some samples, they where amazing. then I actually ordered food lol. after 20ish yrs thought u dumb ass this is great should have done it along time ago. THE BEST!!!!

Went there the first time. Like the reviews the food was really good. We had the sample platter for app and it easily covered 3 adults. The lamb kabobs were amazing. Perfectly cooked. Will be going back again.

Expensive , the food not well done , not delicious , the reviews are not true

This place is aa good as its ever been. I used to go here all the time in the '90s but moved out west. Everytime I come back to visit family I am happy to see it is still business as usual. Authentic and very tasty!

My wife and I stopped in one evening. We were completely surprised at what took place inside this eatery. The food was absolutely incredible. I have had many good Middle Eastern experiences. This one was exceptional. Family owned and driven. A rare gem for Barrie.

Food is fresh and made fresh. However for a Saturday night they were woefully under prepared. Garlic potatoes are just homefries. Rice is just okay. The rest is great and as advertised but it does taste like white people cooking Lebanese food.

Fantastic. A family favourite for more than 15 years. The best falafel I've ever had, bar none. (Full disclosure: I washed dishes here for a summer in the late 90s)

I have been eating here for years, Arabesque has been serving great food in Barrie for at least 20 years. They food is consistent, delicious and very reasonable priced. This is a great restaurant for vegetarians or meat eaters. Adults and kids. I have tried pretty much every item on the menu and I have never been disappointed. I highly recommend this restaurant! They do take out too!

We do not come here often, but it is our special occasion go to facility for fantastic meals! Try this restaurant, great food, awesome service performed by a local family! One more amazing tidbit on the service side is the folks here at the Arabesque in Barrie remember you no matter how infrequent you visit, this makes you see the brighter side of local small businesses. Get out there and support this local Family run small business, it is worth the try!

Darkly lit. Look closed. Sign said "open for dinner". No staff to greet us so we picked a table with a booth. Scolded by staff for choosing a table "not for Joe public"?? There was only one other table of customers, and it was loud, so we were trying to find a spot that afforded better privacy. We sat for a moment at an 'approved table' but decided not to stay to be treated like dirt. Won't be back.

This taste like when white people cook lebanese food. Super gross no flavour no appeal

Best place to eat in downtown Barrie! Be sure to get the Mazza for Two. The owners are great and the food is awesome! Don't forget a bowl of the amazing lentil soup!!

It's ok. I mean the food is amazing and tasty but the only thing is you get more spinach than the actual chicken.

Thanks so much for yummy and fresh falafel sandwiches , amazingly filling and healthu to eat.we called last minute today and they still made it ready for pick up. Would have loved to try their desserts. Next time!!

Wonderful food and great service! We chose this restaurant because of the vegetarian options and were very pleased with the freshly made food.

enjoyed a very fresh tasting lunch, just off Dunlop is this little gem of a restaurant. Authentic Mediterranean food in a nice relaxed atmosphere. Looking forward to stopping in for Dinner next.

Best food in Barrie!!! Try the lamb, the Turkish coffee, the fried eggplant. All of it is amazing. You won't be disappointed.
